The ISL71xxxSLHM/SEHM family of radiation hardened plastic package ICs is designed to support high-reliability spacecraft and satellite missions. These products are intended to support applications where high-reliability screening and radiation assurance are required but in a smaller PCB footprint. These include mission critical applications and may be at Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) or Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) altitudes.
Renesas' rad hard plastic packaging flow leverages the company's more than 50 years of spaceflight experience developing rad hard (>75krad) and rad tolerant (<75krad) products for extremely harsh environments. These products receive screening flows like QML-V products and follow industry standards for that screening. The products also receive lot assurance testing which includes HTOL, BHAST, Temp Cycle, and other screenings. Additionally, radiation lot assurance testing is performed to the device specification listed in the datasheet.
